United took on Shildon for the first ever time knowing it would be a tough game with Shildon starting the season well
3-0 down at half time as United were punished for any mistake made it hard for the lads
Within 30 seconds of the restart though United got one back when a lovely ball forward by Iain Ray was brilliantly controlled by Steve Sangha who then found a great square pass to Steve Walls who made no mistake in converting and give United hope
United did play much better in the second half but conceded two more and the game ended 5-1 to Shildon
