United made some changes for this game to allow everyone who was available to play at least a half each to give all the lads a run out. A decision that backfired with regards to the result but was fair to the lads who haven't played much football lately
United went into the break 1-0 down after a goal was conceded in the 36th minute but came out in the second half hungry to put things right with 5 changes at the break and United pulled level within a minute of the restart as Andy Davis converted Stu Bowman's pass
United controlled most of the second half and had a few chances which weren't taken and a lapse of concentration seen Hartlepool punish United for not taking those chances with 4 minutes left to go ahead 2-1 and that is how it finished
Disappointing performance and result but it's grassroots football and lads deserve a chance to play. One game to go
