United took on Shotton Colts knowing that previous encounters have somehow ended up in defeat.

However, today was different and United drove back north up the A19 with 3 points in the bag

It couldn't have got off to a better start for United as after 2 minutes a blatant handball in the box gave United a penalty. Levi stepped up and in his usual fashion calmly passed it into the bottom corner. 0-1 to United

United were then forced into a change on 5 minutes when a nasty foul on Jamie seen him having to come off to be replaced by Lukas. The fool looked to be inside the box but the referee gave a free kick which Jude hit to the back post but United couldn't convert.

United had another free kick on 13 minutes from 25 yards which Levi stood over. His attempt at goal cannoned back off the bar and Jack then attempted a header at goal which was saved.

Shotton pulled level a minute later when a Lewis D clearance looped back over the United defence and was put in from the left hand side. 1-1

United made 3 changes after 20 minutes with Liam, Mikolaj & Alfie coming on to replace Harry F, Sam & Lewis P.

A minute later and United regained the lead. Levi turned provider releasing Lewis D and Lewis made no mistake in beating the keeper. 2-1 to United

United then went 3-1 up after 24 minutes when Levi's cross come shot looped over the keeper and into the net. 3-1 to United

Jamie returned to the action after 27 minutes replacing Lukas and just on half time United keeper Bradley felt ill so Lewis G went in goal with Harry F going into midfield.

United were forced into a change at the break with Sam W coming back on to replace the injured Mikolaj

On 40 minutes Lewis D needed a rest and was replaced by Lewis P and on 43 minutes United keeper Lewis G pulled off a great save to keep United 2 goals ahead

Lewis D came back on after 45 minutes to replace the injured Liam with Lewis P going back out to the left wing and Lewis D back into the CAM role.

Shotton got another goal on 47 minutes when somehow a great challenge by Josh B was given as a foul in the box. The penalty was converted despite Lewis G's best efforts to keep it out. 3-2 to United

Straight from the kick off though a ball back to Jude was hit forward and again freed Lewis D who out muscled the defender and hit the back of the net for his second goal of the game. 4-2 to United

Lukas came back on after 53 minutes to replace Jamie up top.

On 55 minutes United went 3 goals in front when Levi found Lukas and he released Lewis D who bagged his hattrick and put United in a commanding position. 5-2 to United

A minute later and Shotton pulled another goal back. A break down the right ended with a shot which Lewis G saved but the rebound from 5 yards out was poked home. 5-3

Jamie came back on with 6 minutes left to replace Lewis P and a minute later Shotton got back to within a goal when a ball down the left freed the winger and he hit the back of the net. 5-4 to United

With a minute left United counter attacked following a great tackle in the box with Lukas then playing it forward to Jamie who showed great strength and determination to beat the defender and place the ball into the bottom corner. 6-4 to United

A great performance by everyone - Lewis D getting man of the match due to his hattrick but Alfie was superb on his United debut and was a very close second
