Best game of football this season for United and it would have been great for the neutral to watch!

Confidence was high coming into the match but United were playing against top of the league Rutherford today!

Match started off at a great pace and the standard of football was good from both teams and seemed an even contest! Both teams had chances!

It was a Rutherford who broke the deadlock with a bit of a scramble in the box! The game continued to be a close affair with both goalkeepers pulling off good saves! A couple of clear cut chances for Dumi but he was unable to convert - HT 1-0!

Second half continued to be a close affair! A change of formation with United now playing with two wingers and Jake started to cause their defenders real problems - getting beyond his man and putting in a few crosses which went right across the Rutherford goalmouth but United were unable to connect with one!

Persistence paid off and eventually a goal came with Dumi slotting home a cross from Jake! 1-1

It was there for the taking for United - however it wasn't to be when against the run of play a clearance went wrong and the confusion of Henry not being able to pick the ball up meant Rutherford clinched the win with an own goal!

Shows how far United have come though with a performance like that against top of the league - deserved at least a draw!
