An early kick off in Witton Gilbert today saw the Yellows playing Durham United who they had beaten 3-2 earlier in the season.
The Yellows started really poorly and although they had a couple of chances to score it was Durham that were first to almost every ball. They had had already had a few warnings including Durham hitting the post before lazy play saw Durham gain a 2.0 lead at half time.
The second half was better from the lads. Thomas turned nicely and crossed for Leon to score to make it 2.1 after 11 minutes of the half. There was a goalmouth scramble just afterwards and Reggie had a shot blocked when 1 on 1 with the keeper, but in the end it was Durham that got the next goal to take a deserved 3.1 victory.
The lads were just not at the races at all today and suffered a deserved defeat. Sam got Star Player this week but Mason, Oscar and Callum also had good games.
Onto the next game and hopefully a more committed performance.
