The Yellows were in cup action today against Hetton Town Napoli from their own division and were back to full strength with Callum back in goal.
The game started reasonably end to end but lacking a bit of quality until a Leon flick sent Sean through to score and make it 0.1. The half saw Callum having to make a couple of good saves and some good defending which saw the score remain as 0.1 to the Yellows at half-time.
The second half was similar in that there was little quality and little effort which saw neither side create very many chances. Callum came off his line a few times to save and Kaden made one great block before a free-kick was hammered in by the Hetton Captain to make it 1.1 with 5 minutes to go.
This seemed to spur the Yellows on, Leon hit the post with a great shot. Sean hit the bar after a great run and there were half chances from corners before the final whistle sounded.
As it was a cup game the game went to penalties. Unfortunately 2 misses from Wear as opposed to one from Hetton saw the home side go through.
Sean was player of the match for an excellent performance. The game though really showed what the Yellows need to do going forward in the season. When they were up for it in the last 5 minutes they barely gave the opposition a kick and could have scored 2 -3 goals. If this effort had been shown throughout the game the result would likely have been different
