United took on bottom of the table Fleet Street for the first ever time, and with a good squad of 17 available, including 3 debutants, United were looking for a comfortable three points
A poor opening to the game by United allowed Fleet Street a few chances and they took the lead after 18 minutes when United didn't deal with a corner and it was put in the net. 1-0
After that though, United dominated most of the game and started to create chances. Unfortunately none of them were converted until the 37th minute when Gareth Downes found Theo Weiss who scored into the far corner. 1-1 and that is how it stayed until half time
United made a couple of changes at half time which included Mark Wasey making his United debut and then on 63 minutes Ryan Shepherd and Liam Middlemas were both brought on to make their debuts
United managed to go 2-1 up when a Rob Weiss low free kick from the right seen debutants Ryan and Liam combine with Liam scoring his first United goal. 1-2 to United
A couple more changes seen Michael Smith & Dan Godfrey come on, but somehow, despite United dominance, Fleet Street levelled with 7 minutes to go
United didn't stop though and regained the lead two minutes later when sub Dan Godfrey got an assist setting up Anth Young who hammered home from 10 yards and United put the game to bed when another sub, Michael Smith, swung a ball into the box from the left which was headed home brilliantly by Liam Middlemas for his second goal of the game and United's 4th
Well done to the lads for getting the three points and not giving up. Reverse fixture is in two weeks on the 3G so hoping for another 4 points against them but hopefully a more comfortable game
