United took on Boldon with a good squad number and ability wise despite a couple of drop outs before the game
United's usual keeper was unavailable so Paul Stokoe put on the gloves in the first half with Rob Weiss stepping in for the second half
United started poorly and couldn't get into their rhythm and found themselves 2-0 down within 20 minutes
Boldon then converted a penalty after a harsh handball decision and scored another two goals to lead 5-0 after 35 minutes despite the 5th looking suspiciously offside
United pulled one back two minutes later after some good football ended with Gareth Downes playing the ball to the back post where left back Rob Weiss arrived to head it home
A minute later and United had another chance to score when the referee levelled up the penalty count. Rob Weiss stepped up but seen his effort saved by the keeper
6 changes at the break for United but Boldon scored two early goals to go 7-1 up however United raised their game and started to play the football they are capable of and managed two more goals of their own. On 79 minutes some good pressure from Theo Weiss forced a mistake and Theo capitalised with a strong shot across the keeper which gave him no chance
Then with the last kick of the game United added their third with the goal of the game. A cross from the right was flicked on by Gareth Downes and there was Andrew Morris who took flight and scored a superb flying volley
Full time score was 7-3 but plenty to take forward to the season
