United took on Scotch Arms from the Consett top division knowing they were going to be in for a tough game

It wasn't helped that a few players dropped out on the morning of the game which meant United only had 12 available but those that were there got plenty minutes in the legs and gave it their best shot

The scoreline was only 1-0 at half time but that was a mixture of top saves from Leon Hurst and the poor finishing from Scotch Arms

Two early goals in the second half shaped how the rest of the game would be but United pulled one back with a strong finish by Micky Taylor

As United tired the opposition tool the advantage and scored a few more and then United went down to 10 men due to injury which made it even worse

It was 7-1 in the last minute but with the last kick of the game Corey Bell added United's second to make the final score 7-2
