United took on Washington Wanderers hoping to avenge the defeat from the other week when a last minute goal seen Washington win
United had a number of players missing and a few players playing out of position and Washington went ahead within 2 minutes. United though went up the other end and seen Theo Weiss break away and square the ball to Gareth Downes who brilliantly converted with his left foot.
However another two quick goals from Washington seen them 3-1 up after 10 minutes and by half time it was 6-1.
A stern, but brutally honest team talk at half time seen United wanting to improve and on 55 minutes Anth Young converted a Rob Weiss cross to make it 6-2 and 20 minutes later Rob was the provider again with Gareth Downes getting the smallest of touches to convert at the back post.
With 12 minutes left Washington added a 7th but United didn't let their heads drop and in the last 5 minutes United bagged another couple
Gareth Downes completed a perfect hattrick after an assist from Michael Smith and two minutes later Theo Weiss was brought down by the keeper with the referee pointing to the spot and Anth Young converting the penalty
A game of two halves but if United take that second half performance into the final game of the season on Tuesday then hopefully it will end with 3 points
