United had the bare 11 available but were determined to get something from the game
It started well for United as within 5 minutes a cross to the back post by Anth Young was headed into the net by Dan Godfrey to make it 0-1
Both teams had chances in the half but when the whistle went United for the break United were still in front
It got even better in the early stages of the second half when Ross McLagan played a superb ball forward which was brilliantly controlled by Anth Young and he then stroked the ball home past the keeper with his second touch to double the lead
Around the hour mark Washington pulled one back and with United tiring Washington kept pressing and scored an equaliser with 15 minutes left.
United then had to play with 10 men for the last 10 minutes as Micky Taylor couldn't continue after being on the end of a terrible kick out and despite the amazing efforts from all the lads Washington scored in the bottom corner with pretty much the last kick of the game to take home the 3 points
The attitude and effort from the United lads cannot be questioned, with all the lads playing as a team and definitely deserving something from the game. Well done lads
