Somehow, United found themselves 3-2 down at half time as another ball over the top caught the United defence out to make it 2-2 and with a minute left of the half the referee awarded a penalty which was converted to make it 3-2

It was 4-2 after 73 minutes as Birtley took advantage of a United mistake but United kept going and made it 4-3 two minutes later when Theo Weiss added his second following a Gareth Downes cross.
