Superb result

After a mix up with pitches the game eventually went ahead with United classed as the home team but playing at Red Star's ground in the fog

Red Star beat United 3-0 at the same ground back in September but the new look United were up for the challenge playing a team who had only lost twice in the league

After only 2 minutes United fell behind when a ball over the top seen the striker go around United keeper Leon and place into the empty net

However, after that United took control and it was 5-1 to United at half time

On 8 minutes Chris Wasey found Corey Bell who in turn squared it to Chris Sproat who seen his shot blocked but then turned into his own net by a Seaham defender

It took another 20 minutes before United found the lead and Chris Sproat was again the provider finding Corey Bell who scored at the second attempt

On 33 minutes a short corner seen Chris Wasey get the ball back and he delivered a delicious cross which was converted by Richie Carter's head to make it 3-1

An amazing goal on 37 minutes put United further ahead when Chris Sproat crossed into the box and Anth Young controlled perfectly before expertly converting the volley

Corey Bell added another with 3 minutes of the half when he converted from Theo Weiss' square ball and United were comfortable at the break

United still played really well in the second half and made it 6-1 on 63 minutes when Chris Wasey got through and played it to Anth Young who converted and despite a late consolation, United fully deserved the win against a good side

Well done to all involved
