United took on the team who before the game were one place above United in the league. However, after the 90 minutes were up, United leapfrogged above Ryhope after beating them 4-2

United started with the same team that beat Mill Inn 12-2 in the last game and United dominated the first half going into the break 2-0 up.

Chris Sproat opened the scoring after 5 minutes when the ball dropped with Chris facing away from goal. Chris expertly lobbed the ball on the half turn over the keeper and into the net from 25 yards out to put United 1-0 up with a superb finish

On 18 minutes Ross McLagan freed Jordan Monson and Jordan perfectly placed the ball past the keeper and into the bottom corner to put United 2-0 ahead

United had other chances to go further in front but they weren't converted and the score stayed the same until half time

A few changes at half time to bring fresh legs on but it was Ryhope who started the second half better but as the half went on United got back on top again but did concede in the 73rd minute when Leon Hurst made a save but the rebound fell kindly to the Ryhope player who scored from 5 yards out

United kept on going and regained their two goal cushion with 8 minutes left when Corey Bell, making his league debut, played a great one-two with Chris Sproat and Corey perfectly lifted it over the diving keeper and bent the ball into the far bottom corner to make it 3-1

United went 4-1 up when Chris Wasey expertly found Theo Weiss with the outside of his boot and Theo raced into the box and shot across the keeper and the ball went in at the far corner

The game finished 4-2 as with pretty much the last kick of the game United keeper Leon attempted to clear the ball but smashed it of the Ryhope striker and the ball cannoned into the net to make the final score 4-2
