United took on 3rd Division The Albion in good spirits and despite a few missing the lads gave it a good go and for a good part of the game looked equal with the opposition
An early free kick was well saved by Leon Hurst in the United goal and then an even better save kept the rebound out from 4 yards out but the ball stayed in the box and after a few deflections ended up at a player 2 yards out who smashed in home to put The Albion in front
United grew into the game and got an equaliser just after the half hour when a ball into the back post was knocked down goalwards by Anth Young and Dan Armstrong was on hand to slide it home from a couple of yards out
The Albion regained their lead 5 minutes into the second half with a shot which somehow got through Leon and then on 76 minutes The Albion added a third
United got a second on 82 minutes when Chris Wasey freed Gareth Downes and he curled a great effort in off the far post which made it 3-2
United were trying to grab an equaliser but ended up conceding with a couple of minutes left which made it 4-2 however there are a lot of positives to take from the game
