United took on Ryhope Village for the second game in a row and wanted revenge for the 3-1 defeat
It started well for United creating plenty chances but not being able to take them which was the same story as the first game but on 19 minutes Adil Khalili found Chris Sproat and he scored to give United the lead
It took until 35 minutes for United to double their lead and it was a peach of a cross from Ross McLagan which was met with a header from Dan Armstrong who got his first goal since returning to the club to make it 2-0
Somehow though the half time whistle went and it was 2-2 as Ryhope scored two late goals capitalising on United mistakes and making the half time team talk a lot different
United's attitude was right though and the lads didn't let the blip of conceding two goals get to them and regained the lead early in the second half when Jamie Williams setup Chris Sproat and he added his second of the game to make it 3-2 to United
United again were dominating but couldn't take their chances but the nerves were settled with 6 minutes left when a Chris Wasey cross was controlled and hit home well by Anth Young
The game was definitely put to bed with a minute left when Dan Armstrong got the ball to Anth Young and Anth doubled his tally for the day and made the final score a deserved 5-2 win for United
Could and should have been more but the 3 points is what matters especially after the first game against Ryhope
